By working on the Web Design, it has taught me a many important tasks that I was unaware of before. One of the main things that I have learned has been balance. When creating a layout that has both images and text, you want to make sure that everything is seamless and not to crowded. A good example is when i was able to set up my images before adding any text to make sure that there was enough room for the images and text on one page rather than writing all the text and adding pictures after and it looking muddled. This made my web design look more appealing and inviting to the readers. Another main tool that i learned and was able to use throughout my Web Design was contrast. For my Web Design, I had a lighter background with darker text and headers to ensure that it would be legible for readers to see the text clearly. Doing this not only made the text stand out but also made everything look professional. By using all of what i learned during the Web Design assignment, I can use...

I have personally used MS Word for most of my educational life. I started using the software when i started middle school in 6th grade. We had classes to explain to the students everything about the software to prepare use for when we needed it in high school, but if we had any questions, our teacher wasn't well equipped to properly answer them. As my classmates and I reached high school, we had to rely on our teachers to give us specific instruction on what they were looking for and specific key terms that prepared me for college. Currently being a college student and using MS Word, I do prefer using that over any other software. I have only ever used MS Word and think i would be confused with where everything is if i changed to another software.  When choosing a ISTE Standard for Educators, the standard that stands out to me the most is learner. As a learner, i am able to mainly learn from other when it comes to being educated on a new topic. I have learned that shifts...

My blogging experiences have been pretty fun with the topics presented for this class. So far, I have enjoyed being able to show my personal side with what we are doing in class that have been helpful like tools that we have learned which hopefully can benefit others if they are also struggling with technology. I also really like that the blogs itself don’t have to be formal like they are when using an MLA or APA format. The only downside that I’ve had with blogging is the site itself. Personally, I have always used word for any assignment that I’ve ever done, even if it is through another cite like canvas. What I have learned very early on in the semester is that if I type any work and complete the assignment in word, then try to copy and paste it into the blogging site, the words aren’t legible. This was a huge learning process and an adjustment but something so fixable on my end.       What is interesting about Web 2.0 tool when it comes...

The topic that I picked off of the website CPALMS link provided on canvas was music. In total the website cover 5 main topics expressing how music helps students with critical thinking skills, comprehensions, organizational structure, and future skills that will benefit them. I would have to be coach a little implementing music. From past knowledge, I am aware that children enjoy music and it is a good learning tool but I'm not sure how to properly use it.  When using CPALMS educator toolkit, it is able to provide a lesson plan for teachers on different subjects and to that specific age group. The lesson plan that I was most drawn to was "Describing Words: Lessons on Adjectives". this lesson plan has students identify and distinguish different adjectives and words that are similar to the ones provided. By doing this the assignments also asks the student to be their own narrative and create their own real or fiction person using adjectives. This assignment will help the st...

When talking about copyrighting and fair use, it is completely understandable from a teachers perspective why it is frowned upon. By enforcing guidelines and instilling into students what copyrighting is,  ensures that there is respect from the students from the teacher that they are giving them 100% their work and ideas. Not enforcing this can damage a student's likely hood of succeeding as they aren't gaining anything from the course and almost treating it as if it is busy work. When it comes to students creating their own work, giving them a more graphic approach rather than giving essays. I personally haven't learned anything new about copyright due to my previous teachers instilling it into my education early on.  A implemented issue relating to technology in the classroom is students dealing with cyberbullying. A way to prevent this issue is to start the year off with guidelines that bring awareness and prevention of cyberbullying. To heavily enforce to students that ...
